About this role
The team is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux / Kernel Architect to lead the architecture and development of a Linux-based POS platform. This role will focus on Linux kernel, Board Support Package (BSP), device drivers, hardware integration, and partner/vendor SDKs, while providing technical leadership to the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and development of the Linux-based POS platform.
- Design and implement Linux kernel modules and device drivers.
- Collaborate with hardware teams for effective hardware integration.
- Develop and maintain BSP and middleware architecture.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
- Engage with partners and vendors to integrate SDKs into the platform.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Embedded Linux and Linux Kernel development.
- Strong expertise in C/C++ programming and Linux internals.
- Experience with BSP, device drivers, and middleware architecture.
- Proficient knowledge of Yocto and build systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years in Embedded Linux and Kernel development roles.
