About this role
The team is seeking a Director of Engineering to define and execute the technical vision for enterprise-scale platforms. This role encompasses backend systems, modern web applications, and data ecosystems. The Director will be accountable for architecture governance, engineering excellence, cloud modernization, and scalable data platform integration, particularly with tools like Snowflake and Databricks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the technical strategy and architecture for engineering projects.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, promoting best practices in software development and architecture.
- Oversee cloud modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Ensure high standards of engineering excellence and performance across all projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate scalable data platforms.
- Actively participate in hands-on coding and technical assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an engineering leadership role, ideally in enterprise-level environments.
- Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies and platforms, especially AWS or Azure.
- Experience with data integration tools, particularly Snowflake and Databricks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in engineering leadership roles.
