About this role
As the Director of DevOps, you will lead and shape the vision, strategy, and execution of the team Core Infrastructure team. This crucial team is responsible for maintaining a stable, secure, and scalable environment that empowers developers to innovate and deliver exceptional experiences to sports fans globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the DevOps strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Shape and communicate the vision for cloud-native infrastructure and practices.
- Lead the team in implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive best practices in software development and operations.
- Oversee the management of cloud services and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within DevOps, with a strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expertise in CI/CD tools and practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong background in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Experience in managing and mentoring teams, with a focus on building a collaborative work environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years in DevOps or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
