Role Overview
The team is modernising its data and digital platforms and is seeking a hands-on DevOps Lead to own CI/CD end-to-end for Digital and Technology. This role will be a single point of accountability for how code and data pipelines move from commit to production, building the pipelines, the standards, and the guardrails that enable engineering teams to ship quickly, safely, and repeatedly. This is a lead role but also hands-on: you will set the direction and build it.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the CI/CD processes and ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish best practices for code quality and deployment.
- Monitor and optimize CI/CD pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Implement security best practices across the DevOps lifecycle.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in DevOps or related fields, with a proven track record of leading CI/CD initiatives.
