About this role
The team is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite end-user support, manage office infrastructure, and oversee asset management and project-based tasks. This role is essential for ensuring smooth IT operations and enhancing user satisfaction through effective troubleshooting and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to users.
- Manage device lifecycle, including setup, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT equipment.
- Support office IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems are operational and efficient.
- Maintain inventory management of IT assets, ensuring accurate records and availability of equipment.
- Coordinate with remote technical teams and third-party vendors for advanced support and project implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in desktop support or IT support roles, with a strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and asset tracking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with users of varying technical expertise.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a desktop support or IT support role.
