About this role
The team is seeking a skilled DB2 LUW DBA to manage and optimize their database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all database operational processes are aligned with established service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and administer DB2 UDB versions 9, 10, and 11.
- Manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions using DB2 HADR.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures as necessary.
- Conduct database migrations and upgrades while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with development teams to support database-related queries and issues.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes.
- Participate in 24x7 rotational shifts to provide support as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with DB2 LUW DBA, particularly versions 9, 10, and 11.
- Proven expertise in HADR, HA, and DR methodologies.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in database administration, specifically with DB2 LUW.
