About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Database Security Admin to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and security of various database systems, ensuring optimal performance and protection against vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support databases including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL.
- Ensure databases are properly configured, secured, and optimized for performance.
- Perform routine tasks such as backups, restores, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of database systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views according to application requirements.
- Implement and manage database security solutions, including monitoring tools like Imperva Secure.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure database designs align with application needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in database administration and security.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
- Experience with database security practices and tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and database optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with monitoring and backup solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
