The team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Database Engineering Manager to lead its central Database Systems Engineering team. This high-impact leadership role supports critical data services and platforms across various enterprise technologies and internal customers. You will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of database reliability engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of database engineers and reliability engineers.
- Develop and implement strategies for database reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems meet business needs.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of database architectures.
- Establish best practices for database management and operations.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and security.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in database engineering or database reliability engineering.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud database technologies, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
