The team is seeking a Database Engineer Consultant to evaluate new database technologies and tools in the industry. This role is crucial in setting database system administration and programming standards while applying database technology to solve business problems. The consultant will manage both development and production database environments with a strong emphasis on security, availability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools.
- Establish and enforce database system administration and programming standards.

- Determine the appropriateness of data for storage and optimize storage organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Strong understanding of database security, availability, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in database engineering or consulting.
