The team is seeking an experienced Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mainframe and database architecture, along with expertise in DB2 database concepts and hands-on experience with mainframe database utilities and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in Mainframe and DB2 database management.
- Troubleshoot application issues related to database performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors and application teams to resolve database-related challenges.
- Maintain optimal database performance through regular monitoring and tuning.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Document database procedures and configurations for future reference.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of DB2 database concepts and mainframe architecture.
- Proficiency in mainframe database utilities and tools.
- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes in a mainframe environment.

Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in mainframe database administration.
