About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Staff SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in on-premises SQL Server, PowerShell automation, Azure IaaS, and cloud migration. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of SQL Server platforms that support multiple products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server instances across on-premises and Azure IaaS environments.
- Create, maintain, and optimize database structures and performance.
- Implement and manage database security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to protect data integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to support database needs for various applications.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with SQL Server database administration in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
- Strong understanding of Azure IaaS and cloud migration strategies.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server databases.
- Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in SQL Server database administration.
