About this role

The team is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join their Data Analytics team, focusing on developing real-time dashboards for critical government projects. The DBA will play a key role in managing and optimizing databases, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and security, while supporting the integration of multiple data sources into a centralized analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Optimize database queries and structures for maximum efficiency.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Support data integration from various sources into the analytics platform.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and developers to enhance data accessibility and usability.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to database configurations and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud database solutions and data security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in database administration.
