The team is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join their team in Pune, India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems to ensure high availability and performance. This role involves working closely with the Sr Manager of Database Architecture to support various business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Monitor database performance and implement optimizations as needed.
- Perform regular backups and recovery tasks to protect data.
- Collaborate with application developers to design and implement database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in database administration, preferably with SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Strong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and security practices.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries and scripts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
