The team is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistical programming and machine learning, as well as the ability to analyze complex data sets to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement statistical models to analyze data and provide insights.
- Utilize programming languages such as R and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Write and optimize database queries using SQL, Hive, or Pig.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques and apply them to real-world problems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages (R, Python) and database query languages (SQL, Hive, Pig).
- Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Scala, Java, or C++ is a plus.
- Strong applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, and regression analysis.
- Experience with machine learning methods and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or a related field.
