About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Data Modeler to enhance and optimize the existing data models that support Power BI reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling and be proficient in the tools and technologies required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and improve existing data models for Power BI reports.
- Source data from Databricks Unity Catalog and Databricks SQL Warehouse.
- Design and implement effective star schema, fact/dimension tables, and data marts.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, ensuring the accuracy and performance of reporting datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in data modeling techniques and best practices.
- Proficient in SQL, with a focus on query writing, optimization, and validation.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data modeling and analytics.
