About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Data Migration Engineer to join their team in Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data migration and transformation processes, particularly in translating complex workflows into efficient scripts and models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess complex Informatica workflows including sessions, mappings, and parameterizations.
- Translate Informatica workflows into equivalent Python EL scripts and dbt transformation models.
- Develop and maintain Python EL pipelines to handle high-volume data, including billion-row tables, into the target warehouse.
- Utilize SQLAlchemy, cx_Oracle, pyodbc, and bulk export tools such as Oracle Data Pump and SQL Server BCP for data management.
- Design and develop dbt transformation models based on Informatica mappings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and quality throughout the migration process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ELT processes.
- Strong understanding of Informatica and dbt.
- Experience with SQL and database management, particularly with Oracle and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in data migration or related fields.
