Data Ingestion Engineer

The team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Ingestion Engineer to join their data platform team. This role involves building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and decision-making across the organization. You will work with various tools and technologies to enable smooth data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across cloud and on-premise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data ingestion processes that ensure high data quality and availability.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), dbt, and SQL.
• Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes in PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Document data processes and maintain technical documentation for future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, dbt, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms and on-premise data integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a focus on data ingestion and pipeline development.
