The team is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their team in Mumbai. This role involves leading the design and development of a cloud-native data platform on Azure, emphasizing Azure Databricks and modern data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader capable of architecting scalable solutions while managing a team of Data Engineers and Data Analysts to deliver high-quality data products and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of data engineering solutions on Azure.
- Architect scalable data pipelines and data storage solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of Data Engineers and Data Analysts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver insights.
- Ensure best practices in data governance, quality, and security.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in data engineering and cloud technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Azure services, particularly Azure Databricks.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Experience:
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field.
