About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering pipelines using SQL and related data technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, particularly within the petroleum sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data engineering pipelines to support various data initiatives.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Perform data integration, transformation, validation, and quality checks across multiple data sources.
- Collaborate with data IKU and business teams to understand data requirements and ensure accurate data delivery.
- Analyze and troubleshoot data issues, pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain documentation of data processes and workflows for future reference.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data engineering tools and technologies.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data workflows.
- Experience with data integration and transformation techniques.
- Familiarity with data quality and validation practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a focus on SQL and data technologies.
