The team is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their team and play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining complex ELT jobs that deliver significant business value. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating high-level business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring the seamless ingestion of data from various sources into the data lake and data warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient ELT processes to manage data flows.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Ingest data from disparate sources into the data lake and data warehouse.
- Cleanse and enrich data while applying robust data quality controls.
- Provide insights and direction to guide the future development of the organization’s data platform.
- Develop reusable tools to streamline the delivery of new projects.
- Collaborate closely with other developers and provide mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with data engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with data ingestion tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of data cleansing and enrichment techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field.
