About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their growing data team and play a key role in modernizing their analytics platform. This position will involve executing a large-scale migration and rehydration of approximately 500 existing Power BI reports, including re-connecting and optimizing data sources in a new Lakehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark).
- Lead or significantly contribute to the migration and optimization of data sources.
- Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Implement best practices for data processing and storage in a cloud environment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Databricks and its components (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark).
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with Power BI and data visualization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
