About this role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the team’s team in India. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in designing and implementing data solutions that support the organization's data needs. You will work closely with data scientists and other stakeholders to ensure that the data infrastructure is reliable, efficient, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, and maintain large-scale processing systems and data pipelines.
- Develop data set processing systems to support data analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field.
