About this role
The team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer - Automated Tester to join their dynamic squad. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their distributed systems and data-driven applications. As the automation testing expert, you will collaborate closely with developers and data engineers, embedding testing best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the automated QA expert, contributing to testing strategy and implementation.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve system performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data engineering and automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data processing technologies like SQL, Hadoop, or Spark.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in data engineering or automation testing roles.
