About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This fully remote role will focus on supporting a growing analytics platform and scaling modern data pipelines in a cloud-first environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building reliable data foundations that enable reporting, modeling, and business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines in Azure.
- Ingest and transform data from multiple enterprise systems, including ERP sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Optimize data processing and storage solutions for performance and cost efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, specifically with Azure technologies.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance best practices.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related fields.
