About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to take ownership of and enhance the Databricks Lakehouse that underpins various products. This role is pivotal in shaping the data architecture and involves working closely with client CRM/SIS data from systems such as Slate, Banner, EAB Navigate, Stellic, and Salesforce, particularly within the context of complex and fragmented technology stacks in the Higher Education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Ingest and process data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Databricks and data lake architectures.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Familiarity with CRM/SIS systems and their data structures.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS or Azure, is a plus.
Experience:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related fields.
