About this role
Our client is seeking a Contractual MongoDB & Fabric Engineer to join their team in a remote role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions using MongoDB and Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design enterprise-scale MongoDB architectures for high availability, replication, sharding, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Lead migration projects from SQL/legacy databases to MongoDB.
- Design and implement Microsoft Fabric-based enterprise analytics platforms.
- Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and Azure Data Factory.
- Design Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Dataflows, Pipelines, and Semantic Models.
- Architect end-to-end cloud data solutions using Azure services.
- Optimize MongoDB queries, indexing strategies, aggregation pipelines, and database performance.
- Implement security, governance, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads.
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, BI teams, Product Owners, and Engineering teams.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution design.
- Mentor senior developers and database engineers.
- Establish enterprise best practices for MongoDB and Microsoft Fabric platforms.
- Drive cloud cost optimization and performance tuning initiatives.
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in database engineering and cloud solutions.
