Contract - Full Stack Developer (Java/Oracle application to a Python-based cloud-native platform Migration)

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java & Python Developer to lead the modernization of a critical enterprise application for their healthcare client in the US. This role will involve reengineering an existing Java-based application with an Oracle database into a modern, scalable Python-based solution utilizing Google BigQuery, hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Successfully migrate the Java/Oracle application to a Python-based cloud-native platform.
• Convert and optimize database workloads from Oracle to BigQuery.
• Deploy the modernized solution on Google Cloud Platform.
• Conduct comprehensive testing, performance validation, and documentation.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure application architecture aligned with enterprise standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack application development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications to cloud-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, including SQL tuning, schema design, and PL/SQL development.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Experience with Google BigQuery for data modeling, data warehousing, and query optimization.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in full-stack development and a proven track record of application migration and modernization initiatives.
