Consultant – SAP Commerce Backend (OCC & CCv2)

Our client is seeking a skilled Consultant – SAP Commerce Backend (OCC & CCv2) to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend solutions within the SAP Commerce framework, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective collaboration with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and design backend solutions.
• Participate in project scoping, development, build, testing, and deployment activities.
• Develop and maintain Java-based backend components within the SAP Commerce (Hybris) framework.
• Work with Java EE technologies, including Servlets, JSP, JSTL, and the Spring Framework.
• Implement and consume REST and SOAP web services.
• Support deployment activities on Tomcat and Apache-based environments.
• Utilize build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Manage source code using GitHub, SVN, or CVS.
• Work with SAP Commerce modules, including OCC, PIM, Promotions, B2C Accelerator, and B2B Accelerator.
• Apply design patterns and best coding practices to develop scalable and maintainable applications.
• Collaborate effectively in an offshore-onsite delivery model.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables while following agile development practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
• 7+ years of overall software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP Commerce (Hybris) 6.x, B2C Accelerator, B2B Accelerator, Backoffice, WCMS, and Product Cockpit.
• Hands-on experience with CCv2, OCC, Headless Architecture, and Composable Storefront.
• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery/Dojo), and JSP.
• Experience with REST/SOAP web services and integration patterns.
• Experience with Tomcat, Apache, CI/CD tools, and deployment processes.
• Java, Spring, or SAP Commerce certifications will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SOA, ESB, and JMS is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience working in global delivery environments.
