The team is seeking an experienced Cobol Developer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies and a passion for developing robust software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using Cobol and other mainframe development languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions.
- Utilize source management tools such as GIT for version control and collaboration.
- Participate in Agile and/or DevOps practices to enhance development processes.
- Apply industry-standard software design patterns, development methodologies, and data modeling techniques.
- Implement test-driven development (TDD) and automated functional testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Cobol and familiar with iSeries, Unisys, or other mainframe technologies.
- Experience with source management tools like GIT or similar.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mainframe development and Cobol programming.
