About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Cloud Storage Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database design and architecture, focusing on scalability and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database architectures to meet application needs, including schema design and data modeling.
- Present architectural designs to the Core Architecture team and obtain necessary approvals.
- Set up and configure databases on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL.
- Monitor and optimize database performance and SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions with applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in database design and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of GCP services, particularly Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of databases.
- Familiarity with data modeling and schema design best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to present ideas and solutions effectively.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years in cloud storage and database management roles.
