About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Cloud Ops Security Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing security operations in cloud environments, ensuring the protection of critical data and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage SIEM: Responsible for daily detection and triage of security alerts using Wazuh SIEM, including tuning rules and integrating cloud audit logs (AWS CloudTrail, Google Cloud Audit, Azure Monitor), WAF, identity, and EDR data.
- Incident Response: Lead incident response processes by executing IR runbooks, containing threats, investigating incidents, documenting findings, and conducting post-mortems, with authority for escalation and action.
- Infrastructure Security: Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance and risk management.
- Security Assessments: Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security processes, incidents, and response actions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in cloud security operations, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, particularly Wazuh, and experience with security incident response.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
