About this role
The team is seeking a CAD & Computational Geometry Expert with a strong background in Python and 3D modeling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting dimensioned engineering drawings and creating precise 3D solid models. This role requires a deep understanding of computational geometry and the ability to work with complex geometrical shapes and designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings to create accurate 3D models.
- Utilize Python for scripting and automation of CAD processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure models meet design specifications.
- Develop and optimize algorithms for 3D modeling and computational geometry tasks.
- Conduct quality checks and validations on 3D models to ensure precision and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of CAD principles and computational geometry.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms relevant to 3D modeling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in CAD design, computational geometry, or related fields.
