The team is seeking a Backend Java Engineer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka. This role is primarily support-heavy, involving 70% support tasks and 30% development work. The position requires participation in a shared on-call rotation and offers both morning and afternoon shift options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for backend systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Experience:
Candidates should have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in backend development and support.
