About this role
The team is seeking a highly skilled Python Backend Developer for an exciting long-term contract in a remote role. The ideal candidate will design, build, and operate backend services and data-processing engines that power a value-driven care platform. In this role, you will optimize risk and financial calculation engines that handle large volumes of claims and data, transforming them into actionable insights for independent practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services using Python.
- Collaborate closely with product and data teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Write production-grade, tested code and participate in CI/CD processes.
- Optimize data-processing engines for performance and reliability.
- Ensure high reliability of services through on-call rotations.
- Work with large-scale data tools and frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience in handling claims or EHR data environments is a must.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in backend development.
