The team is seeking a skilled Backend/API Python Test Automation Engineer to join their QA team. In this role, you will focus on testing and automating validation of the backend and API layers, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Python-based automated tests targeting backend services and APIs.
- Design and execute API-level test scenarios covering functional and edge cases.
- Report and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and communication with development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.
- Work with large enterprise systems, leveraging your networking experience to enhance testing strategies.
- Ensure overlap in working hours with US teams for effective collaboration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Python automation testing, specifically for backend and API layers.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and their application in testing.
- Experience with designing test cases and executing them in a structured manner.
- Familiarity with API testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
