About this role
The team is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud and Container Security Specialist to design and implement robust security measures across AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in securing cloud infrastructure and containerized applications, ensuring high availability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud and container security strategies in AWS, focusing on Amazon EKS clusters.
- Build and secure container images utilizing solutions such as Chainguard.
- Manage Amazon ECR and Amazon Inspector for effective vulnerability detection.
- Assess and manage vulnerabilities in open-source components used within containerized workloads.
- Implement EKS logging, monitoring, and observability with tools like Container Insights and health dashboards.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AWS services, particularly Amazon EKS, ECR, and Inspector.
- Proficiency in container security tools and practices.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and open-source component assessment.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring solutions in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on AWS and container technologies.
