About this role
The team is seeking an Assistant Tooling Engineer to ensure maximum run hours from all assembly lines by performing predictive, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of fixtures and tooling. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in meeting quality specifications in both product and process while supporting maximum equipment and machine utilization by minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to machine breakdowns in the assembly area to ensure maximum uptime and productivity.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of tooling and fixtures to optimize processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements and modifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in tooling and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of assembly line processes and machinery.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
