About this role
The team is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Engineer in Welding to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal components, specifically tubes and ducts for commercial jet engines. You will be expected to achieve high-quality standards with over 95% First Pass Yield (FPY) using the TIG welding process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on aerospace components.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes and techniques.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the integrity of welds.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in TIG welding and related fabrication techniques.
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in the aerospace industry.
