About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Assistant Broadcasting Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in live streaming and a solid understanding of various streaming media protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing live streaming operations and ensure high-quality broadcasts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement and optimize streaming protocols such as HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), DASH, RTMP, and RTSP.
- Oversee the use of cloud technologies, particularly S3 NetStorage, to support streaming services.
- Manage video transcoding processes using tools like LiveU and AWS Elastic Transcoder.
- Utilize software such as OBS and vMix for live production and streaming.
- Ensure compliance with media codec frameworks and standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot media streaming servers like Red5 and Wowza.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in live broadcasting and streaming technologies.
- Strong knowledge of streaming media protocols and cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with video transcoding tools and live production software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in broadcasting or related fields, with a focus on live streaming.
