About this role
The team is seeking an experienced AS400 / IBM i Professional to join their team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM iSeries (AS400) environments, with a focus on system administration, database management, application development, security, troubleshooting, and platform integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and management to support and enhance AS400 applications.
- Manage and maintain the IBM iSeries systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Develop and implement applications and solutions tailored to business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the AS400 environment.
- Ensure data integrity and security through effective database management practices.
- Provide training and support to users as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AS400 / IBM i systems.
- Proficiency in RPG, CL, and SQL programming languages.
- Familiarity with database management systems, particularly DB2.
- Knowledge of system administration and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in AS400 / IBM i environments.
