About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Application Security Specialist to conduct comprehensive security assessments across various platforms, including web, mobile (Android & iOS), APIs, cloud, IoT, and legacy systems. The ideal candidate will perform secure code reviews, penetration testing, and security design evaluations, ensuring readiness for DevSecOps automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct end-to-end security assessments on diverse platforms.
- Perform secure code reviews and penetration testing.
- Evaluate security designs and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with developers to remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Document findings and adapt to new technologies while maintaining strong security fundamentals.
- Utilize tools such as BurpSuite and MobSF to identify vulnerabilities, including those outlined in the OWASP Top 10.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of application security principles and practices.
- Experience with secure coding standards and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in using security assessment tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with common vulnerabilities, including SQL injection and manual application testing.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in application security or a related field.
