The team is seeking a skilled and motivated Progress OpenEdge Software Development Engineer to join their dynamic software development team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining Progress OpenEdge-based applications and systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, quality assurance engineers, and other developers, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop applications using Progress OpenEdge technology.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers to gather and analyze requirements.
- Work with quality assurance engineers to ensure software quality through testing and debugging.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Progress OpenEdge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge development and related technologies.
- Proficiency in database design, SQL, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in software development with a focus on Progress OpenEdge.
