About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Application Security Specialist with a strong background in software development and application security assessments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct static web application security assessments using hands-on techniques.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities such as SQL injections, XSS, CSRF, and other OWASP top 10 issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Utilize various build tools such as Ant, Maven, and MSBuild for security assessments.
- Provide expert guidance on application security best practices and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the application security field.
- At least 4 years of software development experience in languages such as Java, C# .NET, C/C++, or Objective C.
- 2-4 years of experience using build tools like Ant, Maven, and MSBuild.
- Strong understanding of security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
