About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Application Security Lead to oversee and enhance the application security function throughout the software development lifecycle. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining robust security measures for both internally developed and externally supplied applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement application security policies and technical standards.
- Operate and improve engineering controls and security testing services.
- Integrate security practices within Azure DevOps environments.
- Manage application security platforms and governance processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure security is embedded in the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management for applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in application security and DevSecOps practices.
- Proficiency in security testing tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and cloud security principles.
- Excellent understanding of secure coding practices and application vulnerabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in application security or a related field.
