About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of applications by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) both manually and through automated tools for web, API, and thick client applications.
- Perform manual code reviews and mobile application Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), covering both static and dynamic analysis.
- Execute infrastructure vulnerability assessments and configuration reviews to enhance security posture.
- Assist in cloud and container security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Identify and assess vulnerabilities using OWASP methodologies and frameworks.
- Document and explain findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate understanding and remediation.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in application security, with a strong understanding of security principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using security tools for DAST, static analysis, and vulnerability scanning.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top Ten and secure coding practices.
- Experience with cloud security, container security, and infrastructure assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in application security or a related field.
