About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Application Security Analyst to join their team in DLF Cybercity, Porur, Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that mobile and web applications are developed, deployed, and maintained according to security standards and best practices, thereby protecting the organization from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development, network security, and technology teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on applications to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards for application security.
- Provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices and security best practices.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents related to applications, ensuring timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in application security or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of security standards such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Experience with security testing tools and methodologies, including static and dynamic analysis.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, and web technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
