Application Developer / Remote, 12 Months Contract

The team is seeking an experienced Application Developer for a 12-month remote contract position. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and support of the Connecticut Information Sharing System (CISS) Application Program, specifically utilizing FileMaker technology. This role requires a solid background in software development methodologies and a collaborative approach to working with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support application design and development in compliance with established architecture standards.
• Document design structures in accordance with Software Development Methodologies (SDM).
• Participate in peer reviews and conduct thorough testing of developed software.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of release plans and recovery plans.
• Identify defects and manage defect remediation processes.
• Design and execute performance test cases, ensuring application compliance with relevant standards.
• Provide technical consultation and programming assistance to vendor technology teams.
• Foster cooperation among Criminal Justice stakeholders and adhere to industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology or related field.
• 5-8 years of programming experience in multiple languages, including FileMaker and MySQL.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, CSS3, HTML5, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Mac and Ubuntu.
• Knowledge of web services, CodeIgniter, LAMP stack, FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Go, and FileMaker Server.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and development methodologies.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant software development experience is required.
