About this role
The team is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead for the Application Architecture & Modernization team. In this role, you will perform deep technical analysis of a set of applications, focusing on application-level discovery, source code analysis, data model assessment, integration mapping, and the creation of technical assessment artifacts. You will leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted software engineering techniques to accelerate the understanding of existing applications and uncover technical, functional, and data-level consolidation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing applications and their architecture.
- Perform source code analysis to identify areas for improvement and modernization.
- Assess data models to ensure they meet current and future business needs.
- Map integrations between applications to identify dependencies and optimization opportunities.
- Create comprehensive technical assessment artifacts to document findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align modernization efforts with business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in application architecture and modernization.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted tools.
- Experience with source code analysis and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years in technical leadership roles, particularly in application architecture and modernization.
