About this role
The team is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join their small, senior AI team. In this role, you will work directly under the Principal AI Engineer and will be responsible for both model development and backend pipeline work. Your time will be split roughly in half between these two critical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and ship production models, including object detection, segmentation, OCR/text extraction, and classification models.
- Develop the AI backend infrastructure that supports the models.
- Run models on incoming data to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products.
- Continuously improve model performance and scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in AI/ML model development and deployment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with backend technologies and database management.
- Knowledge of data processing and pipeline tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering.
