About this role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Front End Designer/Developer to join their team on a contract basis. This role can be performed remotely and is focused on designing and enhancing services across web and other digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and enhance user interfaces for various digital platforms.
- Develop UX artifacts, including scenarios, storyboards, wireframes, flows, and interactive prototypes.
- Utilize frontend design applications such as Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Figma to create compelling designs.
- Explore multiple design solutions for features and communicate them visually through sketches and high-fidelity designs.
- Implement accessibility standards and principles in all design work, adhering to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality products.
- Build and maintain component libraries and design systems to ensure consistency across projects.
- Conduct production design for various digital devices, including web and mobile applications.
- Apply current methodologies and design thinking to enhance service experiences.
- Work on projects related to service innovation, program review, or digital transformation, particularly in government contexts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Front End Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Figma.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and design principles.
- Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with design thinking methodologies.
- Ability to communicate design solutions effectively and collaborate with diverse teams.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in front end design and development.
